From philanthropist vegetable vendor to Wimbledon quarterfinalist, Taiwan has produced many extraordinary individuals of international fame. And in the latest issue of a reputable national magazine, the stories of 99 amazing Taiwanese are presented to show the readers why the island we live in is still full of hope.

Although each of them comes with different backgrounds, what they have in common is the spirits that highlight Taiwan's vitality.

And they all deserve to be called the pride of Taiwan.
