Cycling trips around Taiwan may sound more and more common these days. But how about rollerblade rides around the island? Two college students from Changhua embarked on this extraordinary journey last month, and after 25 days of hardships, adventures and fun, they've finally made it back home. . With just a safety helmet, a windbreaker, a huge backpack, and a pair of rollerblades, these two university students set out from a small path by a field to tour around the whole island. Unbelievably in just 25 days, the two students arrived safe and sound back in Zhanghua county. On their windbreakers, were the signatures of all the supportive people they met along the way. In order to save on overhead costs, the two sometimes slept at roadsides or in parks, despite wind and rain. The team started out with 5 challengers, but along the way, many of them got injured or dropped out. Although these two also once thought about quitting, they gritted their teeth, beared the chaffed skin and blisters to become the only two to successfully accomplish the feat. The two say their most unforgettable experience was in Taidong when someone insisted on giving them a ride. However, the two refused and persevered on their own to accomplish this incredible feat of rollerblading around the entire island. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
