A group of web users were eagerly awaiting the exam results for a reason totally different from the examinees'. They simply wanted to know what the most common name would be among this year's list of college freshmen. But the answer is hardly surprising. The female name "Ya-ting" has once again won that distinction for the ninth time in a row. While waiting for the College Entrance Examination Center to release the results of this year's exam, PTT Bulletin Board System users placed bets on whether more "Yichuns" or more "Yatings" would appear on the list. Many users attempted to enlist the help of Paul the Octopus in predicting the winner, but the results were inconclusive. One PTT member said that there were four Yatings in a room of 44 students when he took the test, and that Yating is definitely the winner. Another said that she had five friends named Yichun, and that Yichun would definitely win. When the CEEC finally posted its rankings, Yating defeated Yichun 151:99. Yating has won for nine years running. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
