A senior lady in Chiayi City's Zhuanyao Community has started a community service with a group of mothers several years ago.

They deliver lunch boxes to elderly people living alone and also help students from low income families to receive tutor classes. Over the years, their efforts have won the community's appreciation.

She is Grandma Wang, the founder of Chayi City's Zhuanyao Community Development Association.

Mrs. Wang has also applied for government funding to set up a tutoring class to help these students after school.

Brick making was an important industry in the community in the earlier days.

Now, with the industry gone, the community seems to have lost its direction.

Mrs. Wang uses the association to help poor elderly and children, hoping to reunite the community.
