We are aware that hand washing is necessary to avoid getting sick and spreading illness. But how about drying our hands with disposable towels? How important is that? Here on CTS, let's find out why the last step is a must.

Many people would remember to wash their hands after using the toilet, however, many would skip the process of drying their hands, and thus defeats the purpose of washing them for the germs would stay on hands.

The Cheng Shin Hospital proved the theory with its research and discovered that, washing hands with tap water without drying hands with paper towel, the amount of germs would increase 84% .

However, the amount of germs would be halved when compared to before washing if the hands are paper towel dried.

Doctor points out that, tap water contains germs and bacteria such as E Coli, in addition to prolonged period of time that soap is exposed in the air, thus drying hands with paper towel after washing is strongly suggested instead of air dried, in order to prevent hands from becoming a moist and warm environment for germs and bacteria to grow.
