Taiwanese girl group, S.H.E's Selina is now in the Shanghai hospital, and her condition is reported to be stable, after suffering from third-degree burns on her arms, legs and back. Sources say, the accident occurred while she was filming an exploding scene of the TV series, "I Have a Date with Spring"
in Mainland on Friday. In fear of wound infection, Selina will be undergoing the skin graft surgery in Shanghai, before being transported back to Taiwan for further treatments. Just as unfortunate, the male lead actor, Yu Haoming, also sustained severe burns from the same incident.
S.H.E's Selina received burns on 30% of her body during filming in Shanghai. She was immediately sent to Shanghai's Reiching Hospital's Emergency Room.
At the same time, Selina's father and boyfriend both went to Shanghai immediately.
Many fans have also arrived at the hospital when they heard the news. A third degree burn means all layers of the skin, and possibly even the bone, are damaged.
In another word, Selina is deeply hurt.
Luckily, she is under stable conditions after emergency care. The accident took place at this 50-year-old abandoned warehouse.
Although it is now closed off, there are still many fragments on the floor, showing the power of the blast.
Originally, Selina's family wanted to rent a medical charter plane to fly her back to Taiwan for treatment.
But because she shouldn't travel at the moment, the family has decided to remain in Shanghai to operate on a skin graft.
