KMT mayoral candidate Jason Hu secured his seat, against DPP opponent Su Jia-chyuan by only around 30,000 votes. Hu admits that the result is a warning sign and he will seek to improve on his performance. And Su, who entered the race only six months before the election but having garnered over 690,000 votes, said he will continue to serve this area by establishing an office in Taichung. Taichung Mayor Jason Hu stepped aboard the car to thank his supporters. Hu won by only 30,000 votes against his opponent Su Chia-chuan. He lost by 12,000 votes in Taichung County. Hu said he would heed the warning. His win rate wasn't what he expected and came as a surprise to him. Experts think that Hu didn't focus on the coastal cities. Party factions still determined the election. The win rate was out of everyone's expectations as less people came out to support Hu. Hu said he would think of why voters were not happy with him and has confidence he can become a good mayor in the future. On the other hand, Su faced quite a challenge prior to the election. Su focused his energy on Taichung County and won 690,000 votes within 6 months of hard work. He said he respected the voters' will and will continue working in Taichung. Although Su lost the election, his voter turnout was excellent. Even though the DPP didn't win Taichung, they have given Hu quite some pressure. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
