The Nangang Exhibition Center Station was officially inaugurated at 2 o' clock yesterday afternoon, and future commuters would no longer have to exit the station to change trains between Bannan and Wenhu Lines. Many people took the shuttle buses from Nangang Station to the Nangang Exhibition Center Station to experience the newly extended line. Commuters who transferring between Bannan and Wenhu Lines were particularly excited about the completion of the extended line because before the inauguration of the station, commuters in Nangang area had to take shuttle buses to change trains between Bannan and Wenhu Lines. According to the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, before the completion of the Nangang Exhibition Center Station, there were around 180,000 people taking the corporation's free shuttle buses to change trains between Bannan and Wenhu Lines. With the completion of the eastern extended line, it will provide greater convenience to commuters and save more time. The project makes it easier for people in Nangang and Neihu Districts as well as those in Xizhi District of New Taipei City to travel to Taipei City.
