With recent cases of death from overwork being reported, one hair styling business in Taipei is cutting down the working hours twice a week for their employees. Less is more, because the individuals end up performing in a more efficient and productive manner. Shortly after 4:30 p.m., employees at this high-end Taipei salon start packing up to go home. For the past 18 years, the stylists and other workers at this salon have been able to leave work at 4:30 twice per week. On the other four working days of the week, they work until 7 p.m. It is no surprise that the employees all view the owner of the salon, Teng Tai-hua, as a good boss. Teng worked his way up through the salon ranks, and now owns a chain of six salons. He says that implementing a shorter working hour policy has succeeded in boosting the performance and efficiency of his employees. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
