After a National Sun Yat-sen University student gave up her graduate studies due to the harassment by macaques in campus, the school hosted a symposium with experts showing the ways to live peacefully with the monkeys.

However, only sevearl students attended the symposium, while some of them remain doubtful on whether they can really keep the monkeys out of their lives.

In the vast auditorium where a symposium was held in regards to recent events where a graduate student quit her studies due to the raucous macaques in the area, much fewer students than faculty showed up to listen to the guest speakers.

Through this symposium, the school wished to educate its students on how best to overcome the rowdy macaques and their habit of stealing food.

The students who were in attendance said that from the speakers, they were able to learn the habitats of the animals, but to get along with them still poses a big problem.

There were also students who stressed that getting along with the macaques is no problem as long as the students learn to respect the animals.
