The Taipei City government is planning to establish a wireless network across the city, making it more convenient for the public by providing free Internet access.

Starting this October, users with smart phones and computers will be able to enjoy this free service in designated locations.

Arriving at the Taipei City Government, one still needs to use your own cell phone and your own mobile Internet plan to access information.

One can use public computers, but in the future, free wireless Internet access will be available making it quite convenient for everyone.

Taipei City already has existing WIFI hot spots, but people must first register on the network to receive free access.

From May onwards, Taipei will build a WIMAX system and at the earliest, in October, Taipei people will be able to use mobile phones or laptops to access the Internet for free.

However, there are limitations to this service, such as indoor public places must be city government buildings such as libraries, hospitals and other institutions to provide this service.

And outdoors, it will be available on Chunghsiao East Road, Tun Hwa South Road, and other main roads.

Access will be blocked to use YouTube or Facebook.

The city government says that if the plan goes well, it will help all citizens save a little money.
