The Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced on Thursday that toll stations on national highways will be closed from midnight to 7 AM during the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival holidays, a reversal of its earlier decision to keep the toll stations open for 24 hours. The MOTC's original plan to cancel the toll-free period was based on concerns over the principle of equality for motorists, and had won the support of many experts.
