And as if not impressive enough, only the King of Pop, Michael Jackson had achieved this kind of success, with five number one songs on the Hot 100 chart from his "Bad" album, which was released in 1987. It took Jackson nine months for his hits to make it to the top of the chart, while it took a year for Perry.
