U.S. rock band Linkin Park and Japanese group B'z put on a show together last week in Los Angeles, to give back to their fans, who each donated more than 500 U.S. dollars to the "Music for Relief Japan Tsunami Fund". Around 1,000 music lovers were invited to the intimate and meaningful concert.

By meeting the campaign's goal of raising $250,000 U.S. dollars, Linkin Park and B'z treated their fans for a mini concert in The Mayan Theatre in downtown L.A. The proceeds of the funds will be benefiting the Japanese victims, who experienced the devastating earthquake and tsunami in February.

Linkin Park's front man Chester Bennington praised the top fundraiser,"I believe he raised thirteen thousand dollars, which is incredible. That is not a small feat.",while Mike Shinoda, who is of Japanese American descent, said he felt particularly affected by the tragic event,

"When something like this happens, just like with any charit - charitable or philanthrop - philanthropic endeavour, really you choose the ones that are closest to your heart, you know, because there are so many things out there that one feels they could do, you've only got so much time, it's important to choose the ones that, that you think are important to you and you think you can make a difference, so that you're not spreading yourself too thin."

As the lead singer of Japan's biggest selling band B'z, Koshi Inaba, expressed his gratitude for those who lend a helping hand, and hopes that the action will inspire more young individuals to take part in charitable works.

This is a great honour for us."
