Director Gary McKendry has brought the controversial novel by Sir Ranulph Fiennes to the big screen, which is starred by Clive Owen, action star Jason Statham and Academy-winning actor Robert De Niro. The complex story depicts Statham's role as Danny, who attempts to rescue his mentor, played by De Niro. As a professional assassin, Danny is on a mission to take out whoever is standing in his way, including three members of the British special ops forces, led by Owen's role, Spike. Owen says he was fascinated by the mystery behind the story, which is allegedly based on true events. "It's a spy movie but it's based on sort of a real context in the late seventies early eighties. It's really about sort of I play a character who is ex-SAS (British Special Air Service) who starts to realize that some of these people are being targeted and doesn't know why and he doesn't know who is doing it and galvanizes a route to find out who is doing it and tries to stop it." For riveting car chases, intense gunfights, massive explosions, and muscle-flexing scenes, you can catch "Killer Elite" which is now available in Taiwan theaters. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
