The anti-Wall Street protesters are not backing down, despite the fact that up to hundreds of them were recently arrested from the streets, for voicing their disappointments on various economic issues, including the high unemployment rate and the 2008 corporate bailouts. While many demonstrators in New York City have vowed to camp out until winter, people in Los Angeles are also expressing their frustrations, by calling an end to "American greed". One of the protesters said, "We're really sick and tired of the fact that the banks and the corporations are really stealing from all of us, us and our friends, we are losing our homes, we are losing our jobs, our benefits are being cut. We are really all in this together." Clark Davis (protester) said "Our purpose is to bring attention to the substantial injustices that are occurring across our country right now, the collusion between corporate interests and political interests and the disenfranchisement of the American people, the losing of our voice." The "Occupy Wall Street" movement has entered its third week, and the organizers say that they will continue its demonstrations in the hope that it will further spread across the country. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
