Soul singer Adele has since called off her concert tour and gigs for the rest of the year, after announcing she is set to undergo throat surgery for vocal issues. Adele, who is known for hit songs including "Rolling in the Deep", "Someone Like You" and "Chasing Pavements" has been battling with her vocal troubles since June. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter has recently released a statement, stating that surgery is needed to "alleviate the current issues with her throat". She adds that she has "absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or she risks damaging her voice forever". The young musician, experienced some highs and lows this year, after scooping numerous awards, and achieving commercial success with her second studio album "21".
