KMT is making a huge progress in its effort to integrate the Taichung City mayoral election. KMT secretary-general King Pu-tsun visited Presidential secretary-general Liao Liao-yi's old residence in Taichung County, in the company of Taichung mayor Jason Hu. The meeting lasted 30 minutes and Liao promised to support Hu's candidacy and be the chief supervisor of Hu's campaign events. However, local observers believe that Liao, who's a heavy weight in the Red fraction in Taichung County, agrees to support Hu. Still, it doesn't guarantee the Red farction's full support. On a hot summer day, Presidential Secretary General Liao Liao-yi was waiting outdoor for important guests, KMT secretary general King Pu-tsun and Taichung mayor Jason Hu. After a 30-minute meeting, the three looked happy as they appeared to have great interaction. Jason Hu is seeking re-election, while personally asking the red farction heavyweight Liao Liao-yi to support his candidacy. Liao also promised to give his best support, adding that he will talk to other red farction leaders to integrate local opinion. Although he was an old classmate of Hu, Liao was two-time Taichung county magistrate and knows his way around, with close connection with local farction. Hu will need his support to win the election smoothly. King went south to create the momentun of unity but it takes time to see whether the gesture works. However, for Jason Hu, it's a much-needed guarantee of successful re-election. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
