Highly-honored music composer, Huang You-Di, has passed away at the age of 100 due to multiple organ failure in the Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital this past Sunday morning.

The musician, who wrote over 2,000 songs including his notable tunes "Azalea Flower", and "Forgotten" will be remembered for the great legacy he left behind in the world of music.

Many people grew up listening to the song "Azalea", which was composed by respected musician Huang You-di.

Born in 1911 in Guangdong of China, Huang was an excellent pianist and violinist.

The talented musician wrote many songs that console people.

Besides patriotic songs, Huang's works focused on art, folk and religious songs, having written over 2,000 songs in total.

He believed good music should be easily accessible to the public, therefore, he gave up all the royalty rights of his music works, for he cared the most about music education and promotion.

Having written music for over half a century, Huang's health deterioriated after he fell down and broke his bones last year.

He passed away at age of 100, due to multiple organ failure.

Although the master musician left us, his music legacy will continue to live on.
