The hot temperature is not only affecting us, but it is greatly harming the well-being of animals.
In the following video captured in Kaohsiung, you'll see that these goshawks are facing challenges to keep their eggs from bursting under the intense sunlight.
This female Asian crested goshawk left the nest before temperatures soared as these two eggs were left in the sun in this nest.
The rays of the sun beat down on it and this egg on the left sees the right side suddenly explode with a bang. Eggshell fragments fly everywhere as we watch it again as it suddenly explodes from the blunt end of the egg. Part of the eggshell travels like a missile some 10 cm in distance.
The professor records this image as the little goshawk inside could not have such strength as when the father returns to the nest the little bird inside is already dead.
The professor confirms that it is true as the baby is dead and the father seems quite sad, keeping a constant patrol around the egg. The father ultimately clears away the egg as many ask why do these eggs explode.
The professor says the hot morning with the sun's rays shining on the egg could lead to an expansion of gas causing the shell to explode.
The situation is very rare and the mother is equally sad though with only one egg left she chooses a branch to cover the nest and the remaining egg to prevent it from frying in the sun.
