The 2010 Asian Roller Skating Championships has kicked off in Kaohsiung, and on its first day, Chinese Taipei has already achieved out The competition, which will last till the 25th of July, marks a significant event prior to the year-end Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. Audience almost went crazy as Chinese Taipei athlete Liao Yen-sheng made it to the lead by one lap ahead of other athletes. With his stamina and will power, Liao managed to keep in the lead, scoring a gold medal for Chinese Taipei. The 2010 Asian Roller Skating Championships began on July 19th in Kaohsiung. Chinese Taipei team has achieved great results in the 15,000-meter race.Besides Liao, who wins a gold medal in the men's team, Pan Yi-jen of the women's team also grabs a silver medal. The Asian Championships have participants from 11 national teams.
