A dream team of professional GO players has been assembled to represent Taiwan in the year-end Asian Games in Guangzhou, with multiple Taiwan's top four Go competitors are together, preparing for the Asian Games this year. The country's mixed doubles teams will be Chou Junxun and Hei Chiachia, while Chang Xu will pair with Hsieh Yimin. This matching has been called a celebrity team combination. Chang and Hsieh have returned to Taiwan from Japan to especially prepare for the Games. The GO at the Asian Games will comprise of the men's group competition, women's group competition, and mixed doubles. Taiwan's head coach believes the country can win gold or silver in mixed doubles and women's group competition. The men's team will face stiffer competition, but has the talent to take down bronze. Due to the Asian Games' time constraints, GO competitions will be shorten by one-third. Competitors must be able to adapt to speed GO. Chou, the captain, said winning in the mixed doubles requires some teamwork.
