The torrential rains in southern Taiwan had caused eight Korean tourists to be stranded in the Alishan area. Fortunately, rescuers from the Chiayi County Fire Department successfully delivered them to safety through a simple cable car. While one of the Korean tourists seemed to relish the thrill of being rescued from Alishan in a cable car, two other members of the group appeared petrified. Even after safely arriving at the bottom of the mountain, one of the tourists remained shaky and needed assistance The cable car ride took the tourists over a flooded river, but there was no other way of getting off the mountain. Firefighters spent more than 30 minutes transporting the eight Korean tourists down in groups of twos and threes. After arriving at the bottom of the mountain, these foreign tourists, all of them Christians, began to sing hymns, and then prayed in tears. Their trip to Taiwan was filled with scares and thrills, but the group was extremely grateful to the firefighters for bringing them to safety. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
