A restaurant in Pingtung is famous for its herbal cuisine, which incorporates over a dozen kinds of medical herbs and organic vegetables. Tasty but not fattening, it has become the favorite of many weight-conscious customers.

The hot pot is served with cabbage, mushrooms and dumplings as soup base.

The owner proudly serves the vegetable harvested from his own garden, including a variety originally found in Egypt, which he claimed to be detoxifying; Crassocephalum crepidioides is said to be able to cleanse blood, detoxify and make stomach healthier. ginseng is said to adi the brain in memory while the yam can help with digestive system and aid in weight loss.

The more than 10 varieties of vegetables are all available for the customers to choose.

The soup is brewed with goji berries, ginseng and other 10 Chinese medicine items, without adding MSG, for 14 hours and it is said to have the ability to help with detoxifying, and digestion and other nutrients.

In the hot summer day, many customers still like to visit the restaurant and eat the thinly sliced pork with the hot pot while enjoy the beautiful view of the herbal rose garden right outside the windows of the restaurant.
