A massive crowd of romantics has gathered at Taipei's Xiaohai City God Temple, all for a similar purpose. The singles pray to find their soulmates, while the couples hope for an everlasting love.

On July 7th of the Lunar Calender, many single men and women come all the way to the Xiahai City God temple in Taipei, praying to meet a match on the romantic day before the God of Love.

The young couple, who has been dating for two months, decided to visit the temple on this date, praying for a long lasting romance.

Although the Chinese Valentine's Day falls on a Monday this year, the temple is still packed with a crowd of singles praying for the right match.

Besides praying with incenses, taking wedding candies, one of the most important parts is to bring home the red thread, that connects you and your future lover.

According to a rough estimation by the temple administrator, the temple helped match more than 6,000 couples last year, a thrilling news for single visitors, who hope to meet their someone special in the near future.
