In the finals of the Taiwan Culinary Exhibition's cooking competition, chefs from Yilan's Link Restaurant faced off against a team from Tung Der Home Economics and Commerce Vocational High School. The Link team, which was dressed in yellow, prepared a Chinese meal. While the head chef carefully monitors the temperature of the steamer, his assistant's stir-fry different ingredients and set the table. The Tung Der chefs, who were dressed in white, decided to go with a western meal. After drizzling a dish with a dark red sauce, the head chef hands the plate to his assistant to arrange. Both teams paid careful attention to detail, and created small servings that emphasized presentation, innovation, and combinations of flavors. The Link chefs were ecstatic when their team was declared the winner by the judges.
