Now let's follow our camera to Penghu and learn about the special fishing method, called "baodun" which is adopted by the local residents. This has attracted many tourists to visit the location to experience this interesting fish capturing technique.

Many visitors are gradually moving toward the seashore of Penghu as the tide ebbs.

They are seen in masks and hats to prevent sun burns.

In fact, they are not there for water splash fun but fishing, using the kind of technique called "Baodun", a fishing method for Penghu residents.

Stone blocks are used to pile a stone mound with openings in the intertidal zone, and this stone mound is called a "dun".

When the tide rises, fishes will be trapped inside the stone mound and fishermen will then take the stone mound apart when the tide ebbs, and capture the catch.

The stones are big and heavy and it takes some energy to move them away.

At the same time, one needs to use a net to catch the fish.

In just a short while, there are a few groupers and crabs found in the stone mounds.

Visitors get to experience the smart tricks of Penghu residents and taste the fish they work hard to capture.

And the fresh taste of fish is an unforgettable memory of a trip to Penghu.
