Jason Wu, the designer of Michelle Obama's inauguration gown, recently returned to Taiwan and paid a visit to President Ma Ying-jeou. Ma praised him as the pride of Taiwan and hopes he can share his invaluable experiences with the island's younger generations. On the second day he came back to Taiwan, fashion designer Jason Wu met President Ma Ying-jeou at the Presidential Office. Wu is the designer who designed the elegant inauguration gown for Michelle Obama last year and made his name around the world. Ma said that Wu's success also helped Taiwan's exposure on the international stage. President Ma even purposely put on a navy tie to match Wu's tie color. During the 20 minutes meeting, Ma asked Wu, several times, about his out Wu also designed a gown for our first lady Christine Chou. The simple line and cut of the dress is exactly the kind of style Chou likes as she gladly accepted the gift.
