Two nominees for the membership of the Examination Yuan were questioned by legislators this week, and both their political stances and views on topical issues were under intense scrutiny.

The Legislative Yuan is conducting an inquisition on two Examination Yuan nominees,

which are a current Examination Yuan public servant and chair of the Protection training commission, Chang Mingchu and scholar Kao Yung-guang.

The DPP is wary of Kao's ability maintain a neutral position, and pointed out his KMT stance, saying that his past works contained contents overly criticizing the DPP.

Other issues aside from party stance, is whether to charge a registration fee for the National Examination.

Chang agrees with several other legislators that the government should stipulate the fee policy.

As for whether test questions on the Senior Civil Servant Examination should be bound by departmental subjects, both nominees believe there's is room for discussion.

In regards to past controversies surrounding the Performance Appraisal system, and the public servant quota, Kao says a public servant resignation policy should be set and quota should be further analyzed.
