Good morning. Thank you for watching CTS News on the Double Tenth Day. I'm Cary Chuo. The Republic of China celebrates its 99th founding anniversary today, with performances from art school students, military bands, and honor guard drill teams, followed by a spectacular parade of Military Police motorcycles. Spectators were in awe as they watched the military honor guard rehearse for its Double Ten National Day opening ceremony performance. The audience was also impressed by the dance skills and athleticism of a team of Hwa Kang Arts School students that will also be performing during the opening ceremony. During Sunday's festivities, the national anthem will be sung by veteran singers Pai Chia-li and Jeanette Wang, and renowned tenor Fernando Wang. One of the highlights of the celebration will be a 56-motorcycle military procession led by Taiwan's first female brigade leader. Many are also looking forward to the float parade with the island's municipal leaders. Traffic controls will go into effect on Hengyang Road, Zhongshan South Road, and Gongyuan Road on Saturday evening, and the government hopes that everyone attending the ceremony can abide by regulations. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
