The Taipei International Flora Exposition will open in less than a month. And a trial run was started for the event's EXPO Dome on Saturday. But it doesn't take long for the experts to find problems in it. A beautiful rainbow created from colorful flowers and plants can be found at the Taipei International Flora Exposition's EXPO Dome. Upon entering the venue, visitors are greeted with giant posters of foreign vistas, floral displays, and garden exhibitions. While casual visitors likely wouldn't give the leather fern exhibition a second glance, this species of ferns is extremely rare and there are less than 100 plants left in Taiwan. According to experts that attended EXPO Dome's soft opening on Saturday, the exhibitions fail to showcase Taiwan's unique ecosystem. Hailing flowers as "a beautiful power," the Expo estimates that 32 million plants and flowers will be used during the course of the event. Experts say that flower farmers will benefit in the short term from higher prices resulting from higher demand, but that the Expo's event planners have done nothing to boost the domestic horticultural industry. Over the next month, 500,000 people will be allowed in to preview the EXPO Dome, which is located in the TIFE's Yuanshan Park Area. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
