Both nominees for the new leaders of the Judicial Yuan, Lai Hao-min and Su Yeong-chin, passed the confirmation vote in the legislature this week, despite a unanimous "no" vote by DPP lawmakers. The Legislative Yuan recently voted on the two Judicial Yuan nominees, Lai Hao-min and Su Yeong-chin, as well as two Examination Yuan nominees, Kao Yong-guang and Chang Ming-chu. The voting caused a wide rift between the two opposing parties; while the KMT were fully supportive of Lai and Su, the DPP unanimously voted against the two nominees. At the ballot count, both nominees passed with over half of the votes, with Lai receiving 71 votes of yea and 36 votes of nay, and Su receiving 73 votes of yea (two votes higher than Lai) and 34 votes of nay. Five legislators out of the 112 legislators did not submit their votes. Of those five were three KMT members who took leave, one member who registered but did not vote, and one member with no party affiliation who also took leave. After the ballot count, both nominees expressed their appreciation. Meanwhile, both Examination Yuan nominees, Kao and Chang, also passed with over half of the votes, adding a tally of success to President Ma's nominated officials. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
