The recent number released by the Directorate General of Budget Accounting and Statistics portrays that more than 153,000 people have switched jobs in August, meaning that opportunities are opening up on the market. And those that found work received higher wages than the past, even better than the time prior to the global financial crisis. Workers used to hold their resumes and look for work but things are different now. Formerly, workers fired by their bosses had to go out and find a job, but now these fired workers are finding better work. According to the latest DGBAS survey, those unsatisfied with their work and have switched employers has reached a high in August, setting a new record with 153,000 job hopping. This CLA said that following the global financial crisis, it was people searching for work, now it's employers searching for staff. Moreover, according to CLA data, the average salary last year following the global financial crisis was little more than 40,000 NTD, though from January to July of this year the average salary has reached 44,000 NTD which is higher than the level prior to the financial crisis. This shows more evidence of the economic recovery as CLA Minister Jennifer Wang is confident the unemployment rate will be below 5% at the end of the year. She also called upon employers to create a better working environment and more pay to retain talent. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
