Taichung just had an all you can eat "pork event", which pulled in more than 1,000 residents looking for a free meal. Some came with an empty stomach so they won't be missing out on the different variety of pork dishes that are being offered at this feast.

This smell of wild roasted boar fills the whole area and about 1 hour before the activity began there was a long line of people.

Here we see the stripes of fat and lean meat in this braised pork which makes many people drool.

And, when paired with pickled cabbage and rice, everyone would certainly want to eat this dish.

The line was as long as one could see, and some did not eat lunch hoping to get some of this braised pork, and everything here was free of charge.

Finally it is time to begin the giveaway and everyone rushes forward to grab a bowl.

Some people cannot seem to wait as they use their hands as this woman doesn't seem to worry about her image as she eats a big mouthful of this rice.

The roast boar stand is also quite popular, and next door is the fried noodle and pork and offal.

This tasting is also free with a total of several thousand servings given to this record crowd.
