In a bid to seek justice for Taekwondo athlete Yang Shu-chun, who was disqualified from last month's Asian Games on a controversial ruling, Taiwan's Sports Affairs Council filed an appeal this week to the Court of Arbitration for Sports in Switzerland. Yang admitted that she has been under tremendous pressure of late, and she hopes the entire incident will come to a close as soon as possible. SAC Minister Dai HsiaLing signed the letter of attorney on the 8th, asking Lee and Lee law firm to appeal to the sports arbitration court in Switzerland, 10 days before the World Taekwondo Federations ruling scheduled for the 18th, in order to protect the dignities of Yang ShuJun and Taiwan. The attorney pointed out that, whether it is for the arbitration court or for the WTF disciplinary committee, the firm has prepared neutral, non-biased facts and a written testimony has been drawn up already. Yang is appreciative of all the help and is optimistic while she is hoping the whole incident would be over soon to lift the burden off her shoulders. The SAC will fight in both the WTF committee and in international arbitration court, all in the effort of fighting for the dignity of Yang and the country and reveal the truth behind the incident. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
