Kaohsiung County Magistrate Yang Chiu-hsing has been discharged from the hospital yesterday following his surgery to treat his recurring colorectal cancer. Yang said he has been too busy for the past few years and it's time for him to take a break. He plans to travel abroad and even visit some Taiwanese businessmen in China. After nine days of recuperation following surgery, Kaohsiung County Magistrate Yang Chiu-hsing was discharged on Tuesday. Although he looks noticeably thinner, his spirits were in good condition. He had another recurrence of colorectal cancer requiring part of his large intestine to be removed. He also had gallstones removed. Yang said that following the surgery, he would rest for a while to allow his body to get better. He is formally expected to be at work on Wednesday, and his recent discharge from the hospital, would see him return to the county government to review documents. Yang said that after completing this phase of work for the county government, he will spend more time with his family and travel overseas and visit Taiwanese businesses in mainland China. Yang said that in the future he will set up an office so that many can find him.
