In a bid to improve learning abilities of people with special needs, a national reading campaign for visually-impaired students was recently launched, and a second-grader finished first in her age group by reading 72 books in just two months. Second grader Tzi-ling is reading a story of Andersen's Fairy Tales today. She touched the braille dots and read out loud quickly the story. The girl reads fast as she finishes reading the story in less than 30 minutes. For her, each time when she reads a story, she learns something new. Encouraged by her mother and her teacher, she took part in the first national reading campaign for the visually challenged and read 72 books. She won the champion Her mother says she also tries hard to help the girl to cultivate the habit of reading. According to the association for the bilnd people, now the resources such as braille books or computers for the blind are quite sufficient. But these resources are not delivered to the needed because of the lack of integration, which is an even more improtant issue now. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
