With the Chinese New Year coming soon, many people are thinking about changing up their home decoration with some new furniture. Now, we are offering you an environmental-friendly and inexpensive route to Taipei City government's Department of Environmental Protection, where you can find nicely renovated pieces, all at a very low price.

The artisan recently found himself inspired by old bicycle tires, and has been using discarded tires to create innovative pieces of furniture since then.

He places a round wooden board between four tires with similar diameters, and paints everything white.

The tires are immediately transformed into a sturdy, fashionable chair.

When a pane of glass is placed on top of the board, the piece becomes a table. The living room set was constructed with materials that didn't cost a cent, but innovation is priceless.

According to the Taipei City Department of Environmental Protection, its artisans are able to restore and breathe new life into discarded items, including cabinets, chairs, and bicycles.

These 400 pieces of refurbished furniture were all crafted from discarded pieces, and the DEP will be holding a large clearance sale starting on the 23rd.

If you would like to fill your home with inexpensive, interesting pieces, be sure to check out the sale.
