The current president of the Legislative Yuan, Wang Jin-pyng, is approaching the end of his final term as a KMT at-large legislator, and his next move has become a hot topic in the pan-blue camp, where some lawmakers have already proposed to change the party's rules regarding term limits for parliament speakers, so as to keep Wang in his current post. The reshuffle of KMT high-ranking positions also involves the personnel affairs of the Presidential Office. Observers now wonder the next move for legislative speaker Wang Jin-pyng, whose term is about to end. Some KMT lawmakers suggest the party to change its internal regulation by formulating a "legislative speaker" clause, so the speaker is not subject to the limit of two-term legislator-at-large position. According to the KMT's legislator-at-large nomination regulations, the principle is one term unless one, who has special contribution or can fulfill certain needs of the party, can be nominated for re-election. Since Wang has been re-elected, if he wants to keep the legislative speaker seat, he would need to join the legislative election and come back to fight for the seat. Veteran legislators Hong Hsiu-chu and Lin Hong-chih were recruited to be vice secretary-general of the party. Party insiders believe mutual exchanges between the Legislative Yuan and the party system would be of great help to the party. KMT arranges experienced lawmakers to hold a position at the party and plans to have high-profile political officials to run the elections. It's said that Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Minister Kao Su-bo, GIO minister Johnny Chiang, KMT spokesperson Su Jun-bin may be included in the party's nomination list for the year-end legislative elections. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
