For the upcoming legislative by-election in Tainan, the DPP candidate Hsu Tien-tsai set up his campaign office on Sunday, and several party heavy weights all showed up to stump for him, including Chairperson Tsai Ing-wen, former premier Frank Hsieh, as well as Tainan City Mayor, Lai Chin-teh, who had been rumored to be on bitter terms with Hsu because of their heated competition in last year's mayoral primary. Led by DPP Chairperson Tsai Ing-wen, DPP-nominated candidate for the Tainan city legislator by-election Hsu Tien-tsai held hands with Tainan City Mayor Lai Chin-teh and shouted victory in an attempt to dispel the rumor that they hold grudges against each other. Chairperson Tsai Ing-wen said she wanted to stay in Tainan, urging party unity to win the election. However, KMT-nominated candidate Chen Shu-hui is not worried about Tsai's long stay plan as she believes Tsai is merely saying so for her presidential bid. While DPP heavyweights were joining the effort to campaign for Hsu, Chen canvassed the street and shaked hands with voters, trying to do her best in the last 12 days before the election. Also using the strategy of party unity, Chen said confidently that she would win the final victory. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
