Over the weekend, the nation just had its longest holiday period since the Chinese New Year, but many people had to spend most of it recovering from the flu or other illnesses. According to hospitals, the number of patients coming to the ER has grown by 30 percent over the past few days.

During the long holiday of tomb-sweeping festival, the temperature changes quickly.

Many people have caught a cold and seek medical attention at the E.R.

According to doctors, in these few days the number of patients in the E.R. nationwide is increased by 30 percent than usual days.

Given more frequent human contacts in public places and transportation, viruses spread fast, especially for enterovirus, which is hitting the peak season since April.

For those with allergy, they might suffer from common illness during season changes, such as Atopic Dermatitis, nose allergies and Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis.

If you are going to visit tomb sites in the mountain, be sure to wear long sleeve shirt and pants and get bug repellent to prevent bug bites.

Doctors say that the dormant period for mite bites could be as long as one week. If the bite site gets swollen and red and one experiences symptoms such as fever and headache, be sure to get immediate medical treatment.
