The Kenting National Park Headquarters have suspended two beachfront hotels' rights to use the beach as a penalty for their holding parties that seriously damaged the environment during the Kenting Music Festival. In defense, the two hotels argued that they did obey the regulations and will continue to negotiate with the headquarters on this matter. Thousands of music lovers and revelers traveled south to Kenting to enjoy the annual music festival over the weekend, but several hotels that had agreements with the Kenting National Park Headquarters violated the terms of their contracts and blasted music until daylight. When the party was over, a huge mountain of garbage was left behind. Another hotel at the south of the bay had permission to hold an event, but put up illegal dance platforms on the beach. The KNPH has decided to terminate its contracts with the two hotels, and says that the actions of the hotels will have a detrimental effect on the area's tourism industry. Both hotels say that they did nothing wrong, and that they fully cooperated with police patrols and drug inspections. Under threat of termination, however, both said that they would try harder to live up to their responsibilities in the future. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
