The "Han Kuang 27" military drill held anti-commando and anti-infiltration exercises in Taichung earlier this week, featuring the participation of female parachute soldiers for the very first time. A total of 16 PLA soldiers of the infiltration forces hopped off the plane from a height of 7,000 feet and they were immediately noticed by the armed forces which carried out a anti-infiltration effort to set up obstacles in the fastest speed and disguise the arm forces with smoke screen. To counter the PLA army, the air forces dispatched IDF aircrafts for a blast attack. Meanwhile, the second batch of 206 soldiers from the PLA landed the island from a height of 800 meters. Finally, the army and the air force successfully destroy the enemy. The annual drill this time is so real and the parachute soldiers, who played a part of the PLA army, were eight female soldiers. It's the first time that the Ministry of National Defense allows female soldiers to join the actual drill. Wearing equipments as heavy as 40 kilograms, these female parachute soldiers, who weigh only 46 kilograms, made a mental breakthrough over the fear of height and are hoping to gain opportunities like their male counterparts to have a chance to set foot in warfare for the country when needed.
