The three DPP presidential candidates, Tsai Ing-wen Su Tseng-chang and Hsu Hsin-liang focused on the cross-strait and economic policies during the final televised session, with Tsai stressing on the importance of remaining competitive through economic cooperation with China and other countries. Su took a similar approach, emphasizing that he would seek to restructure Taiwan into a greater part of the global financial system by strengthening the ties with other nations to increase our advantage in the international market. Hsu, who is trailing behind in numbers, said that we should not continuously push for Taiwan's independence but should support the "One China: European Union" model, which is the best solution for the Taiwan-China sovereignty dispute. Hsu also added that if he wins the election, he would invite Tsai to join his ticket, and he would push for former president Chen Shui-bian to be granted a presidential pardon, in lowering the political tensions. The telephone polls will begin on Monday, April 25th, with the results set to be announced next Wednesday. ◆ 追蹤更多華視影音及圖文新聞: 1.用Plurk追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤 2.用Twitter追蹤華視影音及圖文新聞:追蹤
