FLORA EXPO-TURNED-MEMORIAL AREA IN SUMMER

Following the 6-day event to give thanks to the supporters and workers, the Flora Expo has officially closed down its gates. However, the Yuanshan Park Area will soon be open for people to admire the scenery as they cross through the Zhongshan North Road. With some patience,

the public will be able to revisit the attraction this summer, which has been given a new name of "Flora Expo Memorial Area".

After the closing of the Flora Expo, ticket gates will be removed.

One important corridor of flowers will remain, starting from the Yuanshan MRT station and going along Zhongshan North Road.

The Flora Expo said that beginning from Tuesday, the Flora Expo will close the park.

It said that 14 major venues, except for the Pavilion of New Fashion, will all be maintained and re-opened over the summer holiday. Organizers expected to open Bingjiang Street to autos at the end of the month and also expect to widen nearby sidewalks.
