Marking her second visit to the island, Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue just concluded her recent concert here in Taiwan as part of the singer's "Aphrodite" 2011 world tour, at the Nangang Exhibition Hall this past weekend, with blessings from local singer, Jolin Tsai.

Despite being on the same day as Lady Gaga's mini yet wild show in Taichung, the fans packed the venue for one sweet ride.

The 43-year-old diva is looking as good as ever. Along with 15 dancers, and with her own band, she opened the long-awaited show with the upbeat hit, "Aphrodite".

Dressed as a Greek goddess, more than 8,000 people cheered for the star who last made her appearance in 2008, which was the first time she ever performed live for the Taiwanese fans.

The superstar, who has achieved record sales of more than 68 million around the globe from 11 studio albums, kicked off her Aphrodite world tour in Denmark, and has since performed throughout Europe before stopping in Asia.

According to sources, our local talent, Jolin Tsai has sent flowers to Minogue, who expressed her gratitude by tweeting online, "Thank you for your beautiful flowers, Jolin".

And thank you for an awe-inspiring night, the fans would say.

The musician, who is in love with the great variety of fruits in Taiwan, will be pleasing the music-lovers in Manila of the Philippines next, before wrapping up her tour on July 14th in South Africa.
