The government in the U.K has come up with a new strategy of boosting organ donors, and they are starting with the motorists.
Drivers will have to state whether they are willing to be organ donors next time they apply for a new license or a replacement license. The government's "nudge unit" is encouraging and asking people to participate for the good cause without being too forceful, in an attempt to improve donation rates. The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency is already asking applicants the question both in person and through online forms.
Research shows that less than a third of people are listed as organ donors, while nine out of 10 wouldn't mind being one.
