LADY GAGA SET TO OPEN VMAS

The superstar is set to open the annual event, the 2011 Video Music Awards, which will go down live on August 28th at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

Gaga, who just debuted her "You and I" music video, has been nominated for four nods at this year's VMAs, including Best Female Video and Best Video With a Message for "Born This Way," as well as Best Art Direction and Best Choreography for "Judas."

Speaking of kicking off the VMAs, Gaga said, "It means the world to me," "I just feel really blessed every day. I have the most amazing fans."

Lady Gaga shocked the world last year, with her third outfit of the night, the head-turning beefy couture. Now, how can Gaga outdo and outshine herself at this year's music event?

She said, "I would say that my life is one continuous performance. And that, in a way, all performances of mine relate to one another. And you will not be disappointed."

Besides Gaga's showcase, fans can also expect four-time nominee Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Adele and Lil Wayne, rocking the stage, next Sunday.
