"TWILIGHT" STAR'S FIRST MAIN ROLE

　　Teen heartthrob Taylor Lautner, who may be recognized for playing Edward's nemesis in the "Twilight" franchise, walked the red carpet premiere at Hollywood's Chinese Theater, to promote for his upcoming action-thriller, "Abduction".

　　Besides being everyone's favorite werewolf, actor Taylor Lautner describes landing the role in "Abduction", in which he plays a young man who is hunted down by professional killers during the search of his true identity.

　　"It was amazing to film. I mean I was surrounded by an incredible cast, you know, tons of action, romance, it was, it was overall, like a dream role for me."

Even Lautner, who is known for his great abs, had to go through some extra training sessions for the flick, which also stars Signourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs and Lily Collins.

　　"I mean, there was a few stunts that required a lot of preparation, a lot of training, but the emotional side for me was just as, if not more important, than, you know, just being able to tell this character's journey."

　　Fame is really catching up to Lautner, who often travels with two bodyguards, and who has hundreds of female fans following him around while he's on shoot. And how is the young star handling all the sweet talks after being titled as this era's sexy symbol?

　　I don't know. I just let it go in one ear, out the other. It's amazing. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that support with the fans. They mean everything to me. It is. It's a different thought. I don't let it affect who I am as a person. I am the same person I always was. I am just doing what I love to do now which is such an honor."

　　Aside from strongly encouraging viewers to catch "Abduction", the 19-year-old talent, who will be on a non-stop press tour for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, is reassuring the Twi-hard fans, that the new installment will be worth watching.

　　"I can say that whatever the fans have read in the books, we tried our hardest to bring that to life for them. Straight up to the screen. I think Bill Condon did an amazing job at that. The, 'Breaking Dawn: Part 1,' is my favorite movie of the bunch so far. It's very different than the ones before. I can say that whatever the fans are scared or worried about, I think they are going to be very pleased."

　　"Abduction" will be hitting the U.S. and Taiwan theaters this coming Friday, on September 23rd.
