According to the Chinese government, the country's economic expansion slowed slightly during the third quarter of this year at 9.1%. The figure is a result of the government's attempt to repress inflation, in addition to the sluggish economy and the debt crisis in the U.S. and Europe, with all these factors significantly hurting China's export.

The booming economy's gross domestic product (GDP) grew at an annual pace of 9.1% from July through September, down from 9.5% and 9.7% growth in the second and first quarter, respectively. Even so, for western countries that are struggling to deal with economy downturn, the figure is impressive, not to mention that it's unreachable at this point in time. The GDP growth in the U.S. is just 1.3%, while the figure in euro zone is even worse at 0.2%.
